Last Quilt for 2016 – Quilt #28

My sister has made several rag quilts.  My husband said a few times, why don’t you make quilts like this.

On my last trip to Shipshewanna, I bought this bundle to make a Rag Quilt for my hubby.

It doesn’t look like much, but it is very soft and thick flannel.  Yesterday I went to the laundromat to wash and dry the quilt.  With all that string and fuzz, I didn’t want to clog my washer and fill my dryer vent with lint.

So after $9.00 I have a clean quilt.  Who forgot to tell me that there would be so much lint/threads stuck to the fabric after the wash and dry.  Today I need to pick the fuzz off the quilt.  Then I can put it in a gift bag for Hubby for Christmas.

Wishing each of you a Very Merry, Healthy, Joyous day.  MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Rag quilts are certainly fun to make and so quick. It's snipping the seams which takes a while.
