Bee Hive Quilt with Picnic Time FQS Remix Block

Fat Quarter Shop had a block  remix of the Picnic Time Block.

I enjoyed that block, the size (15 1/2 x 15 1/2 finished) and how quick it went together.  It was my selection for the BeeHive in March.  I received all my blocks, along with several Bee Crashers (you know who you are).  Had some backing waiting for a red, white and blue top, so put it together.

Added the binding on July 3, put her in the wash and had a great patriotic quilt ready for Independence Day.

She came out perfectly ( in my eyes) after her wash, using several color catchers.

I still have six more blocks.  Thinking of doing a small wall quilt or some place mats.

Will keep you posted!

Your quilt is beautiful and the quilting is just perfect for the pattern-I love it! And those pesty Bee Crashers-I think they live in Minnesota.

I agree with Rose that your quilt is beautiful and the quilting is perfect. As to the Bee Crashers being from Minnesota — point one finger, three point back – hahahaha!

Great patriotic finish, Jan!! Glad to hear bleeding wasn’t a problem–color catchers are a great invention. Love your choice of quilting.

Hi Jan! Wow – this turned out great. I had to laugh right out loud at the Bee Crashers. What a great thing to crash, though! I don’t see a single red bleed so those color catchers sure did the trick. Your quilting was just the perfect choice for this pattern, and your timely finish was right on point. Love every single thing about this. ~smile~ Roseanne

How wonderful! Love that the color catchers worked and you have a beautiful quilt. Look forward to seeing the leftovers and what recipe you use with them.
