Quilts for Jack’s Basket

We all have that “spare” layer cake in our stash somewhere.  When I have an itch to do some quilting but don’t want to jump into a big project, I grab a layer cake and cut it up.  This time I sliced it in half and sewed it back together.

Some simple quilting gave a great pattern on the back as well.

My favorite striped binding and this one is done.  But that layer cake has enough in it to do a second quilt.

Same quilting but used some leftover navy Grunge for the binding.

These are Win Win quilts, I get to do a quick little quilt and Jack’s Basket gets a few more quilts for their great cause.

That is a great way to get some stitching in and help someone out at the same time.

Why don’t I ever think of something so simple yet perfect?! Love the prints and how they get center stage in these quick little quilts. What a fun finish, Jan!
