Dot Dot Boo Runner

A friend sent me a junior layer cake of Dot Dot Boo by Me and My Sister Designs.

So I started to scour the web for a pattern to make a table runner.  I must have looked for hours.  Then I decided just make some HSTs and go from there.

A bit later I have the HSTs done.  Layout done.

Sewed it together.  Found an orange piece of fabric in my stash.  My normal binding, black and white stripe, was perfect.

I probably spent less time making this simple runner, than I had spend looking for a pattern.

Let’s hear it for jumping in and getting it done.  Now if I could just find a backing for that blue stamp quilt hanging on those chairs in the first picture.

What a delightful table runner for this season! The stripe binding finishes it perfectly. It’s crazy how quickly something can come together once we have a seed of an idea sometimes.

It might have taken a while to find the pattern you wanted , but the end result is so fun! I too spend lots of time thinking about what pattern sometimes.

Jumping in and finishing – hooray. And striped binding is perfect for this runner. Great job.

So pretty and the quilting is just right!!! I know what you mean about spending more time looking…!!!! But it’s part of the thrill when you finally decide!
