Quick Projects

Over time I have been blessed and received different packages of fabric fun from quilty friends I had met in the 2017 New Quilt Bloggers group.

Rose @somethingrosemade sent this beautiful panel with my initial J.  I made a little topper for my table and used the matching strips she sent for the back.  Tried out a decorative stitch for attaching the binding.  It turned out great, one corner looks almost perfect. I won’t show you the other three, they serve their purpose, but aren’t as pretty.

Next up is a runner using fabric from Kathleen @kathleenmcmusing the fabric is so springy the fabric bundle was Squeeze.  Ready for spring.

This was a honey bun I got from Rose also, I put the rows together and it sat in my draw for a long time.  When I was cleaning out things, I decided to finish it.  Found a nice cozy red flannel for the backing.  This one is on it’s way to Project Linus.  I’ve started dropping off quilts for the local chapter.  It is nice, since it doesn’t involve postage.

Hope everyone is having a great day and is ready for your Thanksgiving celebration.

Being able to drop off quilts locally to save on postage is really nice. All look like really fun and satisfying projects to make, and how lovely to use fabric from friends.

What fun projects! I love your initial table topper and the binding is fun. Those cherry colors are perfect for spring and now you are ready. Love the Project Linus quilt too! You have been busy with the little ones, and that is so much fun. I love a quick project and love what you did with each of these. Happy Thanksgiving!
