Alison Glass Charm Swap

So I joined the Alison Glass Charm Swap that Yvonne at Quilting Jet Girl.  This was my first time ordering from Hawthorne Threads

I picked out my fabric for the swap

Of course, since I had to pay for the shipping, I added other fabric to my order.

I had been thinking about ordering this zebra print.  My sister in law has some medical issues and her support group of friends call themselves Zebras.  So I thought this would be perfect for a Sew Together Bag.  Since I made my first one, as a test to my doing zippers and it worked out not bad, I ordered this fabric. My Sew Together Bag test

I also ordered some complementing fabric.  As a fairly new quilter, I though it would be just like other fabric.

I had no idea that I was ordering digitally printed fabric.  I know it says that on their site, but I didn’t read that part.

When I got my package yesterday I could hardly wait to open, don’t you do the same?  So I was quite surprised to see my Zebra fabric and it’s complementary fabrics on one piece.

That was when I realized it was digitally printed.  It is beautiful.  I can hardly wait to cut it up.
