Squiggles QAL

My February One Monthly Goal was to complete my Squiggles quilt.  With February being a short month and being away for two weeks, I am finishing up just in time.

Squiggles was a quilt along, which is a pattern by Christa Quilts – Squiggles QAL.  The pattern is included in her book Piece and Quilt with Pre-Cuts.  This was a six week QAL, which would have been a great pace, if I wasn’t gone for 2 of those weeks, but we are caught up and done.

I used Basic Mixologie by Moda that was purchased a while ago and was waiting for the right project.  This was it.

The sun was cooperating on this quilt finish day too.  Which was a great surprise, since we hadn’t seen her here for some time.  I used my wavy line quilting here with a eggplant thread, which always gives the quilt a nice texture.

I ordered binding and backing from the same line.

For some reason this Moda fabric seemed extra soft and cuddly after the washing.

Thanks to Christa for a fun and quick pattern.

I really like this quilt! It looks amazing and classy! I have a precut stack that I should use, this might be just what they need. Your quilting is wonderful and as always…gotta love the crinkle!

I just love your squiggles quilt! It is fun to see it in the wild. I checked and she took a break this week and so did I. The wavy line quilting works really well on this quilt!

    Hi Jan,
What a fabulous finish! And it looks so nice on your front porch railing with the pretty blue sky behind it. There is hope for Spring to be here soon. I love the wavy quilting and especially the eggplant thread – it looks great! It sure washed up nicely – look at all the quilty goodness in those crinkles. ~smile~ Roseanne
