Clementine Quilt Along – Block 2

We are moving along on the January’s block, Watermel Wheel, was so fun.  I am glad we are now on to the second block, Broken Berries.  All these names make me think of summer, as long as I don’t open my eyes and see the 10 new inches of snow coming down this morning.

I’ve got all the pieces cut.  Those for the 6 1/2 inch block are small.  Small scares me.  My seams aren’t always perfect for small pieces.  But I will conquer them for this block.

The HSTs and center squares are all together.  No problems and each piece measures perfectly.  Now for the Flying Geese.  I always seem to have wavy geese, they don’t fly in perfect formation.  Been procrastinating over a few days to make these geese, don’t want to mess them up.  Test run for one goose.  It works out great.

Finished the geese for the first block and they worked.  Just about perfect.

Now I am ready to tackle the rest and finish these two blocks.

My Broken Berries looking good.

Here is a peak at the first blocks.

Beautiful fabrics for these cute blocks. Did you get to choose your own fabric?

    Hi Jan,
I sure do love these fabrics that you chose for this project! They look great together, and they shout summer! This will look so pretty when it is complete. I cannot wait to see March’s block. ~smile~ Roseanne

Those blocks are looking terrific. You did a great job on the flying geese – they can be fussy things for no good reason – but the more experience the better they seem to get.
