March OMG Playroom

My March OMG was to finish this quilt for my nephew.  He is settling into his new home, which is a milestone for him.

The pattern is by Sewn Hand Made and is here.

He requested black and white and modern.  Her pattern checked all the boxes, black and white, modern and for me no decisions needed to be made.  The pattern showed black and white and I was making black and white.  I added the little red line to honor his Mom.  They were very close and he is still having a hard time, two years after his loss.

Here is another decision I had to make, how to quilt.  Ok, all that know me know this was not a decision.  I can only do straight line quilting.  Decision made.

Oh wait, another decision to be made binding.  Just kidding, it was no decision, my usual black and white striped binding.

I was so please with how easy and quickly this pattern came together.

I was thinking what about a red and white quilt.  Or navy and white.  Or navy hsts and red lines.  So many possibilities.

It was great to get this mailed out.  Hoping the postal service delivers on time.

I love the bold design of this quilt! And your humor! The touch of red is perfect, and of course the binding is as well!

Great quilt and I love how you decided to quilt it. Straight lines are my go to as well.

Hi Jan! This is just fabulous. It does certainly check off all the boxes for black, white, and modern plus a few more like beautiful. Thanks for the link to the pattern! I have also wanted to make a red and white, or navy and white quilt for ages (I was leaning toward a Hunter’s Star). Thanks for the inspiration. ~smile~ Roseanne
