July One Monthly Goal

My sister and I went to Shipshewanna, Indiana for the Quilt Hop last month.  She bought this cute fabric which has some type of coating on it, making it almost feel laminated.

My goal for July 2017 is to make two or three pouches for her.

Any suggestions for patterns?

Love pouches. Check out the tutorials tab on http://www.elmstreetquilts.com for a bunch of bag tutorials. Thanks for linking up with Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal and good luck on your project.

Oh, what ever pouch pattern you use will be great. I have a couple of pouch patterns by Atkinson Designs. I’ve made 10+ from the design called Bridgette’s Bagette and also Cash and Carry. Take a look at her many different pouch patterns to get an idea of what you can make. http://store.atkinsondesigns.com/stores_app/browse_dept_items_ws.asp?Shopper_id=1552731056301552&Store_id=913&Page_id=17&categ_id=9&parent_ids=0,2

That fabric is also good for backpacks. Have fun with your new fabric. (Or more specifically, your sister’s fabric.)

This is a great goal. It’s also very pretty fabric. I used the unlaminated version in a comfort quilt that just might be my July goal…I’m giving myself some lee way around choices. I’ll be posting my goal on Wednesday.
