Clementine QAL with Fat Quarter Shop – Strawberry Star Final Block

This is the final block for the Fat Quarter Shop QAL.  We started in January, I remember January, it was cold and snowy.  I didn’t have a clue that our life would change so quick.  When it came time to start the April block, we thought about selling our house.  That was when it all started.  Listed the house by owner, sold quickly, visited South Carolina to look for a new place to live (some family is there, but we never had a firm plan to move, the occasional what do you think comments).  Moved things to storage, closed on our sale, moved to my sister’s here in Michigan (thank goodness for a wonderful, generous sister).  Just signed for a new house to built in the Charleston suburbs and hope to be moved in January.

Back to the final block, Strawberry Star, of the Clemention QAL.  I was glad this was a easy block, no tricks.  Cutting is now on a small table, rather than my large island, but it went quickly.

We are cut and a few pieces together.  Ready to put it all together.

Here is Strawberry Star.

Here are links to my five blocks, so far:

Block 1 – Watermelon Wheel

Block 2 – Broken Berries

Block 3 – Peaches & Plenty

Block 4 – Coconut Cross

Block 5 – Pineapple’s Puzzle

Why not head on over and get the patterns.  That’s right to make it easier for you I added the link again.  Don’t forget the Clementine patterns are FREE to download! We only ask for a suggested donation of $5 to our St. Jude campaign for each time you download our patterns.  That’s a win-win.  You get a great block pattern and the kids of St. Jude’s get a donation.

Be sure to stop and check out other quilter’s progress on their blocks in this QAL.

It’s so fun to see your progress as you make these blocks. Your fabrics are so pretty ! Glad that you can sneak in some sewing during the transition time too!

Wow, things moved fast for you indeed and I am so glad to hear that you just signed a contract and plan to be settling into your new home soon. It’s also hard to believe the blocks for the Clementine QAL are done with this month. I look forward to seeing how they all come together for you.

The fabrics you’re using are just sew cute! Great variety of blocks you’ve been making, too. Good job keeping up amidst all the changes!

Oh my gosh! I struggled to get sewing done because of a garage sale, lol! I can’t imagine trying to do everything you’ve been doing and still get in some creative time!
